The Philippine Footbal Team Azkals made a history when they knocked out India during the Philippines vs India game of the 2012 AFC Challenge Cup currently held in Kathmandu, Nepal. India is the champion of the said Cup in 2008 and for a team who is new to this sports, this turned out to be a sweet victory for the Philippine team.

The Younghusband brothers (James and Phil) performed well in the game. At the 10th minute of the game, Phil Younghusband kicked the ball towards the goal with his left foot which pushed the Philippines ahead of the game.

Phil received a quick assist from James before sending the ball to the back of the net. This hiked the Azkals’ lead to 2-0 leaving India to fail in winning the game.

The Azkals will face another former champion, Tajikistan tomorrow, Tuesday, March 13, 2012 and it will be aired on Studio 23.
