Once again, the tradition continues as ABS-CBN airs it's annual Christmas Station ID with a big bang! Few hours after it was uploaded in Youtube, the video received thousands of viewers and likes. Positive comments keep coming every few seconds. It also trended on twitter worldwide and has flooded the facebook newsfeeds which has been happening everytime the Christmas ID is released, indeed a tradition.
The most notable part of the station ID as being hyped by Pinoy netizens are the parts of Daniel Padilla and Bamboo. According to Pinoy netizens, this is one of the best parts of the video. KZ Tandingan, the first winner of the Philippines franchise of X-Factor also appeared on the station ID, her first appearance in any station ID in ABS-CBN. Angeline Quinto started the song and Sarah Geronimo ended it with a powerful belt and adlib. You can view the video and enjoy it by yourself!

Nina has been so rare in the television scene this past years. Remember, she left ASAP with her regular segment sessionistas.
Now Nina is back with her latest single as soundtrack for the upcoming movie by Viva Films called "A Secret Affair." With her soulful voice, she managed to call the Pop Fernandez original as her own. We're glad Nina is now back again and we've missed her a lot. Below is the official music video of her song Don't Say Goodbye.
The movie will be shown in Philippine Cinemas on October 24, 2012 top-billed by Derek Ramsey, Andie Eigenmann and Anne Curtis.

Senator Tito Sotto seemed like he has NO firm decision and stand about the Cyber Crime Law. Well it all started after he was allegedly cyber-bullied by Pinoy netizens. Then he inserted the Libel clause for the Cyber Crime Law.
While the Cyber Crime Law has also great benefits as to control pornography, cybersex, etc, the law also has loopholes making the Supreme Court decide to issue TRO to the said controversial law.
Tito Sotto has filed a bill several days back to abolish the libel clause which is very timely after an online protest build up by Pinoy netizens and the campaign not to vote for Senators who authored the bill. Of course, the face of this new law would be Tito Sotto being the limelight when people talk about this new law.
After filing the bill, Tito Sotto withdrew it! Is Tito Sotto ok? If he is really ok, why he has NO FIRM decision about this matter. The reason why he withdrew the bill is because "Dahil gusto rin ni PNoy." So it means Tito Sotto has no firm decision based on the facts of the news. It appears that he is confused about the law because he has no personal independent decision for it. He is basing his decisions from the idea and affirmation of others. So what's next? I bet he will push the bill again after he finds out that people are bullying him again. It is a domino-effect that Tito Sotto can't seem to get out especially now that the Cyber Crime Law is temporarily lifted by the Supreme Court. Urong-sulong.

A 20-year-old girl from Digos City, Davao del Sur was named the first ever grand winner of the Philippine franchise of a world famous talent show X Factor aired by ABS-CBN.
With her unique style of delivering her music, KZ has captured the heart of the viewers ever since the show started (back from the audition series).
With the goal to prove that "Hindi lamang mga biritera at magaganda ang may karapatan sa music industry," KZ's star did shine for the show's last performance night held at PAGCOR theater.
She was announced as the winner with an overwhelming landslide vote of more than 50% of the total votes. KZ was handed a check worth 4 million in peso and will sign a recording deal with Star Music.
KZ Tandingan almost lost her voice because of throat polyps when she was in high school. For now, let us all keep an eye to the career of KZ on which I am sure, she will make it big given that she will keep her feet on the ground without changing her image from wholesome to daring (I may refer daring as sexy or tomboy-type, no KZ please remain wholesome).
KZ, keep focused to God. May God guide you and may not the power of money and fame put you away from Him!

Philippine President Benigno Aquino has signed an order renaming the contested South China Sea to West Philippine Sea and the name will be registered to the United Nations.

However Chinese and Taiwanese officials assert that renaming the South China Sea won't affect their sovereignty among the area thereby rejecting and dishonoring the move of the Philippine government and such unilateral motion will just spark conflicts in the area.
The area is disputed and it is thought to contain massive reserves of gas or oil. The claim of the Philippines to some portions of the area is based on the UNCLOS (United Nations Convention on the Law of the Seas) wherein 200 miles from the coast is considered to be the Exclusive Economic Zone of the country.
The rocky outcrop sits about 230 kilometres (140 miles) from the west
coast of the Philippines' main island of Luzon, while the nearest major
Chinese landmass is 1,200 kilometres northwest, according to Philippine
navy maps.
The Philippines defended its latest move, with Aquino's spokesman
Edwin Lacierda saying the renaming should not be a "cause of conflict"
with its neighbours.
"How does one threaten other nations when what we've called the West
Philippine Sea covers (our) exclusive economic zone?," he said.

The weather bureau reported that the low pressure area (Karen) spotted at the East Philippine Sea is now a typhoon. Although it will not make a landfall, it will still enhance and intensify the monsoon thereby bringing more rains to the western sections of Visayas and Mindanao.

Karen is expected to be at 600 kilometers east of Tuguegarao City by
Friday morning and 420 kilometers east of Basco, Batanes by Saturday
morning.
"Fishing boats and other small seacrafts are advised not to venture out into the eastern seaboard of Central and Southern Luzon, eastern seabord of Visayas and Mindanao due to strong winds generated by Typhoon 'Karen,'" Pagasa added.
The typhoon is seen to exit the Philippine area of responsibility by Sunday morning.

Jeepneys are absolutely Tatak Pinoy because they are Filipino innovations that have reached as far as the streets of Papua New Guinea but another Tatak Pinoy that is known is the reckless way of driving by some jeepney drivers (not all though).

According to reports, the passenger jeepney lost it's brakes thereby hitting this store.

During the peak of Nokia craze about a decade ago, everyone almost seemed to dream of even just handling a Nokia Unit, not necessarily to own them. I remember when I was in elementary, when you have a Nokia 3210 phone that time, you're absolutely cool! During our high school days, Nokia Units are becoming small and the smaller phone you have, the "cooler." That time Nokia 8210 and 8250 were just hot until more units came.
Until smart phones came lead by the culture-changing tech-giant Apple company and some other smart phones makers like Samsung. Upon the release of these smart phones, the Nokia craze was diverted to these smart phone makers, Apple and Samsung.
Some employees are applying for loans just to grab their own and some cut off their expenses just to be able to pay for their mobile plans. But after acquiring those smart phones what's next? Are you becoming richer? Does your skin get whiter? Did your husband/wife loved you more?
That is the question. People get really excited because it is "new." But once we acquired it, the hype and excitement will eventually go down.
I believe the iphone5 will be very cool and great. I can sense some great apps and features. But it is not for everybody. It is made for people with savings intended for luxury.
I also use a smart phone and I am also dreaming of getting my own iphone also but my resources don't warrant me to do so. I mean, it is not bad to have one but to the point that buying an iphone5 is your priority over some of your basic needs is just a part of being "emotional." In that manner, you are not becoming wise because you are letting iphone5 to overwhelm and control your emotion to get one.
After getting it and satisfying your emotions what comes next? iphone6? or iphone5.5? or iphone5s? or iphone5 type2? And you won't be wise again? Remember, companies have their strategies to allure us consumers and allowing yourself to go with the flow could have danger if you are not wise.
I mean, I am not against iphone or Apple or the Samsung, etc. but hey check out first if it can fit your lifestyle or budget because after 5 years or so more models are coming and we're not sure if iphone is still the "leading" that time. So what about the hype? Just remember your Nokia days and you'll understand what I mean. I can bravely say that iphone5 is not a necessity this time.
Finding Nemo is just one of the best hit animated movies that truly captured the hearts of the audience. It's great concept and heart-wrenching story made viewers to love the movie.

Nemo is the name of the main character. Plot of the movie: Nemo is baby and naughty clown fish who was lost and placed in an aquarium owned by a dentist. But Nemo's father did not give up searching for Nemo even though Nemo was no longer in the ocean.

If we talk about an active, beautiful and an almost perfectly cone-shaped volcano, the first thing that comes out our mind is the Mayon Volcano located in Albay.

Mayon Volcano is indeed a Tatak Pinoy that we can truly be proud of.

The Amateur Boxing Association of the Philippines has protested light-flyweight Mark Anthony Barriga’s loss against Kazakhstan’s Birzhan Zhakypov.
The Philippines’ lone boxing hope in London lost the match, 17-16, after getting penalized for ducking and headbutting in the third round of the fight. That gave the Kazakh two extra points, making up the difference in the result.
“We felt the referee was a little too quick on the draw on the warning, because the Kazakh was already wrestling Mark to the ground,” said ABAP executive director Ed Picson.
Barriga was leading the fight, 10-8, heading into the third round, when Zhakypov became visibly more aggressive. He wrestled the Filipino fighter to the ground twice early before Barriga without any reaction from Labbe.
“And when the referee finally gave a deduction [for wrestling], it went both ways,” said Picson.
According to AKTV’s Lia Cruz, ABAP will protest the fact that Barriga was warned just once before being penalized, when the Filipino fighter should have been warned three times.
A similar case occurred earlier on Friday, when the United States protested a decision that gave India’s Krishan Vikas a 13-11 victory over American welterweight Errol Spence. In that case, the US said that the Indian should have received two warnings, resulting in an overturn of the result.
Under AIBA Technical & Competition Rules, a protest can be filed by “the Team Leader or by the person having the highest position in the Team Delegation no later than 30 minutes after the completion of the bout.”

Birzhan Zhakypov defeats Mark Anthony Barriga, 17-16 |
The Philippines' bet for the London Olympics 2012 lost a fight from Birzhan Zhakypov of Kazakhstan. "Sorry daw sabi ni Barriga sa post-match interview. Kung hindi daw sa deduction nung round 3, baka nanalo. - Report from Lia live in London".
But the hope for the Philippines to win an Olympic medal is still there. Barriga wasn't able to do it but we still commend his courage and determination in representing our country.
On the other side of the story, our government should now start allocating funds for sports development and train our athletes not just to be stellar fighters but to grab the gold for the Olympics.
As of now, the Philippines hasn't tried grabbing a gold medal yet. The all-time high medal received by a Filipino Olympian is silver which was won by Onyok Velasco in boxing event.
We had some scopes from some facebook users on how they reacted with the news.

Vince Aguirre: Kung cno pa ung laging tinutmba sya pa may deduct imbaness!

And siguro naman by this time, alam na niya kung ano ‘yung intensions ko. If not, matagal ko na rin sigurong itinigil ito. So sa tamang proseso na lang kailangang idaan ang lahat,” - Enchong Dee

Efforts to promote tourism in the Philippines has reached London with their public buses printed with the Philippines' DOT Slogan, "It's More Fun in the Philippines.

MANILA, Philippines - Clark International Airport in Pampanga was ranked third best airport freezone in the world according to a survey conducted by a magazine published by the Financial Times Business Group of London.
A Palace official welcomed the report, saying the government is working to improve the airport's facilities.
"We welcome the assessment made by the London Financial Times Group. Certainly, we are in the process of improving our airport facilities... That has been the commitment made by Transportation and Communications Secretary Mar Roxas to the President and, therefore, the said agency will exert all its best efforts to improve the facilities of not only Clark but also the other airports," Presidential Spokesperson Edwin Lacierda said.
FDi Magazine, a bi-monthly news and foreign direct investment publication, recently published its "Global Free Zones of the Future 2012/13" report. In the magazine's report, Clark International Airport Corporation (CIAC), which runs the airport, was named the third best freeport airport in the world.
The same magazine ranked Clark Freeport Zone as the 8th best freeport zone in the world, with Dubai Airport Free Zone being named the best. In 2010, Clark Freeport Zone was ranked 7th.
Earlier, the Department of Transportation and Communication said it is financing a P100-million study on the feasibility of turning Clark International Airport into the main international airport of the country. via abs-cbn news
