Host and actress Kris Aquino praised Star Cinema's newest offering "The Healing" topbilled by Star for All Seasons Vilma Santos.
In her morning show "KrisTV" on Monday, Aquino applauded the film's story as well as the performances from the actors.
"Excellent. It was a really, really good film. Ang linaw ng storytelling, ang ganda ng effects," Aquino said.
"Lahat sila Ate Vi, si Kimmy (Chiu), si Pokie (Pokwang), si Janice (de Belen), everybody there talaga ang galing umarte. Super nakakatakot but in a nice way," she assured.
Aquino has starred in the successful horror films "Feng Shui" and "Sukob," both directed by Chito S. Roño, who also did "The Healing."
Aquino said she watched the movie last Saturday with her friends Raymond Gutierrez, Ormoc Rep. Lucy Torres-Gomez and Pokwang.
"Si Lucy sabi niya mahihirapan siyang matulog, like sila sa likod hiyawan sila ng hiyawan; ako enjoy," she said. "Gory, bloody, I understand now why it's R-13 and R-18 but sometimes you have to see that," Aquino said.
"The Healing," tells a story of faith healer who decided to stop her healing sessions but was forced by group of patients.
Last week, Santos admitted that it was Aquino who inspired her to do the horror-suspense film.
