Popstar Princess Sarah Geronimo doused speculations that it was her mother, Divine, who asked actor Gerald Anderson to stop wooing her.
"Sa totoo lang po hindi mommy ko ang nagpatigil kay Gerald na manligaw talaga. So, wala, hindi si mommy," Geronimo said on Sunday during "Sarah G Live" on ABS-CBN.
Sarah's mom also broke her silence and hinted that it was Anderson who gave up on pursuing Sarah.
"No, actually kami nga ni Daddy [Delfin] ang nagbigay ng permiso na ligawan siya sa bahay. Kinausap namin talaga siya ng pormal. Sabi ko sa bahay lang pwede ligawan ang anak ko hindi sa labas at hindi sa text [ang panliligaw]. Then sabi ko kung mapagpapasensiyahan mo ang patakaran namin ganito kami, nire-respeto namin kayo, respetuhin niyo din kami. Kasi babae 'yung anak ko but ewan ko kung dapat sabihin pero hindi yata ano, pero kung hindi mapagtiyagaan 'yung ganoon, wala kaming [ magagawa]," Divine said as Sarah was trying to stop her from revealing more details.
Divine told her daughter that God will eventually give her the right man.
"Oo nga, di naman ako nagmamadali, muntik lang...," said Sarah, after which she cried.
Last week, reports surfaced that Sarah and Gerald ended their special relationship because of Sarah's parents.
Gerald started courting Sarah last February.

Actor Gerald Anderson kept his silence on reports that he has stopped wooing Pop Star Princess Sarah Geronimo.
Anderson, who was named as most valuable player at this year's Star Magic Sportsfest for basketball, opted not to talk about the issue, stressing that there will be a right time for everything.
"Sa ngayon nakakahiya kay Mr. M (Johnny Manahan) at Star Magic family na pag-uusapan natin ang mga ganyan. It's a day of celebration. Let's just celebrate a wonderful day," Anderson told ABS-CBN News.
Last week, Anderson also talked about time when he gave Geronimo a clock as his birthday gift for the singer's 24th birthday.
"Ito ay isang clock, symbol ng time. Time para sa sarili mo, time para sa family mo, at time para sa iyo. Time sa gusto mong gawin at ma-experience lahat yon. Anderson is set to fly to Egypt and Jerusalem this week to visit his father.
Dolphy, the Philippines' comedy king was reportedly critical at the Makati Medical Center. The comedy king underwent a dialysis procedure. However, the pillars of Philippine entertainment industry visited him.

The movie on which she is supposed to appear is an entry for the upcoming Metro Manila Film Festival 2012.
However, the comedienne explained that her decision of declining to make a movie with Vice Ganda and Kris Aquino is to pay due respect to "Bosing" Vic Sotto who will also tie up with Sen. Bong Revilla for a movie which will be an another entry for MMFF 2012.
Judy Ann Santos will also appear in the said movie of Bosing and Sen. Revilla.
Ai-Ai also added that she doesn't want her movie and Vic Sotto's movie to clash for the MMFF because she still pays value to their successful tandem last year making their movie "Enteng ng Ina Mo" a blockbuster one.
So the comedy queen will be resting for this year's edition of the MMFF who has always been in consistent appearance during the past MMFFs.
Kris Aquino, the queen of all media is returning to The Buzz tomorrow (June 10) to temporarily replace Boy Abunda who is currently on a vacation.

Yesterday night, Brian McKnight appeared at ABS-CBN's Bandila segment Ikaw Na! by Boy Abunda. Boy Abunda asked if who is her Filipina crush and he says it is still Regine Velazquez.
